Relendex poaches Assetz Capital’s James Hodgson to boost business in North East
RELENDEX has hired Assetz Capital’s James Hodgson as business development manager, covering the North East of England.
The peer-to-peer property lender said on Thursday that Hodgson (pictured) previously worked as underwriter director at P2P business lender Assetz Capital. In this role, he worked with borrowers to provide a tailored funding package for residential property developments.
He began his career at Yorkshire Bank, before moving to National Australia Bank where he was a commercial real estate manager.
“At Relendex, we are growing fast and are always on the lookout for talented professionals,” said Paul Sonabend, executive chairman at Relendex.
“James impressed us with his wealth of expertise as well as his strong sector relationships and track record in building and converting leads – all of which were key in our decision to bring James onboard. We are excited to welcome James and are confident he will prove to key asset as we progress to the next stage of our development.”
Hodgson said he was delighted to be joining Relendex.
“I am looking forward to using my knowledge, experience and interpersonal skills to play my part in the next stage of Relendex’s development as a leading P2P lender,” he added.
Relendex has made several new hires in recent months, which include the appointment of Martin Whitworth as a business development manager for the North West of England and Claire Newman as its head of lending operations.
Last November it announced that it had secured a £72m funding line from an unnamed institutional investor to help boost its lending.
