Funding Circle lending through introducers passes £1bn milestone
Funding Circle lent more than £1bn through introducers last year.
The platform, which announced its exit from the peer-to-peer lending sector earlier this month, said it has more than 1,000 active introducers for the second year in a row.
Funding Circle revealed this funding went on to support over 6,500 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) around the UK and said it was a testament to the “incredible hard work” of its introducers.
The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) said a “significant percentage of deals” were originated by its broker members as the platform is a patron of the group.

“These figures demonstrate the huge value that the introducer community brings to SMEs and is testimony to their passion and commitment towards Funding Circle’s goals,” said Jeremy Crinall, head of UK introducer partnerships at Funding Circle.
“The introducer team has formed really strong relationships with our Introducer community over the years, and these results are evidence of the journey we have been on to support as many SMEs as possible. We’d like to thank everyone for working with us, over the past few years especially.”
