SoMo hires in-house recruiter to support expansion
SoMo has appointed Lindsey O’Neill as an in-house talent acquisition partner to support the peer-to-peer property lending platform in its recruitment drive.
The recruitment specialist has already hired two staff members to the bridging lender’s sales team and will help the platform as it is currently advertising for eight roles, including key account managers and business development managers.
This follows SoMo making nine new hires in the last 12 months.

“I’m delighted to join SoMo and be given the opportunity to build my own recruitment function,” said O’Neill (pictured).
“SoMo is a brilliant and exciting place to work.
“It has a great social environment, an exceptionally friendly and supportive team, and people can rise up the ranks quickly as the business goes from strength to strength.”

“We’ve seen phenomenal growth over the last 12 months- in fact we’ve just had our most successful lending month since the company began,” said Jamie Jolly, managing director of SoMo.
“So, our recruitment strategy involves finding more people with the same drive and passion to maintain and grow our unrivalled relationships with brokers and keep pace with completions.
“Lindsey has already proved she can find the brightest talent in a candidate-led market so we’re confident SoMo can expand in line with our ambitions in 2022 and beyond.”
O’Neill will also work across Social Money’s fintech brand, buy-now-pay-later firm Payl8r.
