ThinCats hires director of regional business development
ThinCats has appointed Mike Dinnell as director of regional business development for the North West.
Dinnell (pictured) joins from Allied Irish Bank where for the past five years he worked as a senior relationship manager supporting commercial businesses in the £1m to £30m turnover space. Prior to that he worked in relationship director roles at Lloyds Banking Group and Bank of Scotland.
The alternative business lender said Dinnell will work with business development director Dave Parr in the North West to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

“I’m delighted to be joining the North West team at ThinCats,” said Dinnell.
“There’s currently a lot of demand for finance to support acquisitions and buyouts, I’m keen to hit the ground running and support the work ThinCats do with SMEs.”

“It’s great to welcome Mike to the team as we continue to expand in the North West,” said Mike Hackett, head of business development at ThinCats.
“Alternative lenders like ThinCats are continuing to play a growing and strong role to support the needs of SMEs. Mike will be helping us to lead the charge across the region.”
This follows several recent appointments at ThinCats over recent months.
It has hired former British Business bank chief executive Keith Morgan as chair, Richard Bowles as director of regional business development for the South West and Wales and Brian Don as head of credit for the Midlands and South West.
Last year ThinCats was accredited to the recovery loan scheme and revealed a strategic investment of £160m from Wafra Capital Partners, alongside senior bank and institutional funding, to boost its lending.
