P2P veteran leaves Zopa Group board amid reshuffle
Peer-to-peer lending veteran Christine Farnish (pictured) is no longer a director on the Zopa Group board, after her contract came to a natural expiry in December 2021.
Farnish will remain as chair of Zopa’s P2P board.
Her departure was announced amid a series of new appointments and departures within Zopa’s three corporate boards.
Zopa’s chief financial officer Stephen Hulme was appointed as a director of the Zopa Group board on 12 January.
Hulme joined Zopa in January 2018 and was instrumental in setting up the Zopa Bank brand. He is also a board member for Zopa Bank.

Fellow Zopa Bank board members Paul Cutter and Gaenor Bagley have also been appointed to the Zopa Group board.
Cutter is chief technology officer at Paddy Power Betfair, while Bagley has 30 years’ experience in the professional services industry, and holds a range of other non-executive appointments including with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Meanwhile, Zopa Group chair Gordon McCallum has been made a director of the Zopa Bank board, alongside other Zopa Group board members such as Giles Andrew, Nicolas Aspinall, Chris Jones, and Michael Woodburn.
Jonathan Hogan is no longer a director at Zopa Bank, after his contract came to an end in December.
Former Financial Conduct Authority executive Zitah McMillan-Ward has left her position at Zopa Limited, the Zopa brand’s P2P lending arm.
A Zopa spokesperson said that Farnish is staying on the P2P board for now.
