Sancus boosts business development team
Sancus has appointed Steven Darbyshire as a business development manager in its UK team.
Darbyshire (pictured) has more than 15 years’ experience within the financial services sector including working at NatWest for the majority of his career in several relationship roles such as building a regional broker network.
He joins from alternative lender Together Money where he was a regional development director and specialised in property funding, specifically bridging and development finance.

“Steven makes another valuable, experienced addition to our business development team and I am delighted to welcome him to the group,” said Richard Whitehouse, sales director, UK at Sancus.
“He brings with him extensive knowledge of short-term property lending, a large network of contacts with whom he has a fantastic reputation and a pro-active attitude, he will fit in well with our growth plans in the coming years.”
Last year, Sancus doubled the size of its business development teams.
In December, the specialist property bridging and development lender hired two business development managers, Barry Dillon for the North and Tony Grillo for the South.
In October, Sancus appointed two heads of sales, Melanie Fourie for the North of England and Jaxon Stevens for the South of England. In September, it hired Matt Davies as director of offshore funding in its Jersey office.
