Lisa Jacobs steps back from Funding Circle boards
Funding Circle’s Lisa Jacobs (pictured) has stepped down as a director on the boards of several of the company’s subsidiaries, in order to focus on her role as chief executive.
Jacobs was promoted from UK managing director at Funding Circle to chief executive in September 2021, taking over from the company’s co-founder Samir Desai.
Desai transitioned into a new role as non-executive director on 1 January 2022.
According to Companies House updates, earlier this month Jacobs resigned from her position as a director of Funding Circle BB, Funding Circle Focal Point, and Funding Circle Property Finance.
It is believed that Jacobs chose to exit the boards in order to spend more time focusing on her chief executive responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Thomas Parachini, global head of legal and regulatory at Funding Circle UK, has been appointed to the board of Funding Circle Property Finance.
Last week, Peer2Peer Finance News revealed that Funding Circle added finance director Tony Nicol as a director on the boards of Funding Circle Global Partners, Funding Circle BB, Funding Circle Focal Point Lending, and Funding Circle Property Finance.
Nicol replaced Robert Kerrigan, who was Funding Circle’s head of legal and regulatory affairs. Kerrigan is believed to have left the company towards the end of 2021.
