EstateGuru rolls out auto-invest replacement
EstateGuru has launched three new investment strategies to replace its auto-invest service, with the aim of allowing investors to select different ways of lending through the platform.
The European peer-to-peer lending platform has also removed the €250 (£209) minimum limit, allowing investors to access the new investment accounts with as little as €50.
The three new investor accounts have been labelled ‘conservative’, ‘balanced’ and ‘custom’.
The conservative investment strategy offers a balance between average interest rate, collateral value and a low-risk approach. EstateGuru said that it’s the perfect fit for the more patient investor who prioritises security when it comes to their portfolio.
The balanced investment strategy is aimed at maximising returns while still keeping security at a premium. The platform said that this is for investors with a slightly higher tolerance for risk.

Meanwhile, the custom investment strategy is aimed at investors with an understanding of loan-to-values, security and different types of loans. It allows lenders to customise their strategy to create a personalised portfolio and to view the specific criteria for each strategy.
EstateGuru also has an overview of how many loans would fit the customised strategy over the previous six months, a prediction of how many will meet the lenders’ criteria in the next month, and how much they can expect to invest over that time.
With the conservative and balanced options, lenders only have to choose the one they like, indicate the maximum amount they wish to assign to an individual loan, and the platform will automatically distribute their funds into the best suited investment opportunities after they apply it.
With the custom strategy, lenders have the opportunity to customise the parameters to create a unique investment profile.

“Investment strategies is the next evolution of auto invest, which it replaces,” EstateGuru said in a blog on its website.
“We’ve removed the €250 minimum limit for advanced criteria, introduced three new investment strategies and wrapped it all up in a stylish new interface.”
Lenders have to enable the feature by navigating to the ‘Invest’ page in their account, then they will be directed to the ‘My Strategy’ page where a pop-up will appear detailing the terms and conditions and asking for their consent to enable the feature.
