Bondora nearly doubles its monthly originations
Bondora nearly doubled its originations in October, thanks to a strong performance in Finland.
The European peer-to-peer lending platform grew its originations by 48.7 per cent to reach €18.3m (£15.4m) – its second month of consecutive growth in lending volumes.
This was led by the solid Finnish market and the continued reintroduction of Spanish originations.
Finnish originations had the highest growth rate, rising by 92.5 per cent to €9m. This put the Finnish origination share at 49.4 per cent of all Bondora loans, up from 38.2 per cent in September.
Estonian originations grew by 21.5 per cent but saw their share of total originations drop by 11.3 per cent to 50.5 per cent.

“A 48.7 per cent increase in originations is significant for Bondora,” the platform said in a blog on its website.
“Spanish originations continue to make their comeback slowly and could help continue the increase of originations on the platform in the coming months.
“The most notable statistical change in borrower information was a 92.4 per cent increase in Estonian borrowers’ net incomes.”
Bondora has achieved several milestones in October, including a new loan origination high for 2021 of €18.3m and passing the €500m milestone for total investment.
