British Pearl to launch property trade association
British Pearl is working on launching a trade association with several UK and European property platforms.
In a shareholder update shared on equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs, British Pearl said that the trade association aims to create “a single voice” for property platforms globally and will aim to standardise investment categories where possible.

“Together with several UK and European platforms we are working on imminently launching a trade association, and at some point in the near future a central marketplace for real estate investment platforms from around the globe,” the shareholder update said.
“The purpose of the trade association is to create a single voice for real estate platforms globally and help set operational and conduct standards.
“The purpose of the central marketplace is to standardise investment categories where possible, improve investor choice and increase liquidity for all participants. British Pearl is very pleased to be part of the founding team.”
The shareholder update also revealed that British Pearl has successfully sold its whole property portfolio and repaid its lenders the next day.
British Pearl was launched in 2018, backed by former Conservative Party treasurer Lord Stanley Fink, and lets investors fund property developments through either a loan or equity.
