Linked Finance hires commercial director
Linked Finance has appointed Richard Glavin as commercial director.
Glavin (pictured) joins the Irish peer-to-peer lending platform from insurance broker Chill Insurance where he served as commercial director for five years. Prior to that, he was head of sales and business development at insurance firm 123.ie for almost 10 years.

“We are delighted to welcome Richard to the Linked Finance team to help support the rapid growth of our lending portfolio,” said Niall O’Grady, chief executive of Linked Finance.
“This year alone, Linked Finance has achieved a number of standout milestone targets – and there are more opportunities on the horizon.
“The firm has big ambitions for the future and Richard’s appointment will play a pivotal role in connecting growing Irish businesses with lenders who are looking to support Irish businesses.
“At Linked Finance we offer small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) businesses a range of options to access finance fast and efficiently in a seamless digital way.”
In August, Linked Finance said it was heading towards a record year of lending after facilitating €5.5m (£4.6m) of loans in July, more than treble the level of lending than the same month of 2020 and the highest in the platform’s seven-year history.
Since gaining accreditation to Ireland’s Covid-19 credit guarantee scheme (CCGS) in January, Linked Finance has funded just over €30m worth of CCGS and standard loans to SME customers to date this year.
