CapitalRise has made six appointments, bolstering its investing and lending teams to ensure “significant growth into 2022 and beyond”.
Five of the new hires are within the investing department.
Mark Cecil, who has over 30 years’ experience in the hedge fund industry and was a founding partner at Jabre Capital Partners, has joined as a partner and is responsible for growing the platform’s institutional client base.
David Jenkins has been appointed as head of product after previously implementing technological solutions for clients including ASOS, Costa Coffee and Travis Perkins.
Pip Lashko-Sayers, who was previously a relationship manager at Danske Bank, has been hired as institutional capital client manager and Charlie Mahalski has been appointed as investor relations specialist.
Within the lending team, CapitalRise has appointed Lee Francis as lending director to originate, structure and execute transactions. Francis has over 23 years’ experience in development finance and banking.
Lisa Singh, who was previously at West One Loans, has joined as associate director and will manage broker and borrower relationships as well as the property development portfolio.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of six new team members to CapitalRise,” said Uma Rajah (pictured), co-founder and chief executive at CapitalRise.
“Having had a record-breaking start to 2021, these new hires are testament to the success of our business strategy over the past 18 months.
“They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that lending volumes and redemptions to investors continue with significant growth into 2022 and beyond.”
This follows CapitalRise reporting a strong few months of loan originations, including a £1.2bn annual increase in new enquiries in the 12 months to 31 July, and “huge growth in investor demand”.
