Assetz veteran joins fintech payments firm
Rob Pailin, former chief commercial officer at Assetz Capital, has been named chief executive of fintech payments firm Total Processing.
Pailin left the peer-to-peer lending platform due to personal circumstances in July 2019, after two and a half years in the role. He also stepped down from his role as a member of the board of directors.
During his time at the lender, he oversaw the development of the company’s regional office in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Yorkshire, Wales and the North of England.
In his new role at Total Processing, he will help the Manchester-based firm manage its global expansion.
“Total Processing is one of Manchester’s most exciting fintech businesses,” said Pailin. “The growth it has achieved to date has been huge.
“As the e-commerce landscape evolves, we have an opportunity as a business to bolster this growth further. Many domestic and international businesses are reassessing their core processes, streamlining wherever possible and this is where Total Processing is making its mark.
“We’ve got ambitious plans and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.”
The fintech firm describes itself as being “a leading provider of bespoke payment solutions for businesses”.
It has more than doubled its headcount over the past year, with 60 employees now based at its central Manchester office. It is now targeting global expansion, having recently opened new offices in the UK, Europe and Dubai.
