FinTech For All launches tech solution to monitor harassment
The FinTech For All initiative has rolled out technology to monitor and gather feedback on harassment and diversity issues within the sector.
Led by InChorus, the new tech solution offers a free-to-use plan for all FinTech For All Charter signatories, enabling ongoing data collection across the sector. This is to increase accountability around culture and surface high-impact areas for improvement.
The FinTech For All Charter is an industry-led initiative aiming to end harassment and promote diversity within the sector. It was launched in September by representatives across the fintech community. It is led by InChorus and supported by Innovate Finance, FinTech Alliance, and Level39, with the Financial Conduct Authority and Anthemis supporting the steering committee.

Over 85 signatories including Landbay, Zopa backer Augmentum VC, Funding Xchange and most recently Market Finance, have signed up to the charter to pledge to create a culture where inclusive behaviour is championed, harassment is not tolerated and diversity is widely promoted.
The FinTech For All initiative’s new technology is a slack-bot that allows for continuous, anonymised feedback across different organisations, tracking issues and identifying where progress has been made.
It has been designed to gather analytics on microaggressions and the lived experience for different groups within the sector.
Several companies are also adopting the technology in-house to analyse their unique data and benchmark this against the industry findings, including Funding Options and Concirrus.

“Our fintech sector is world-leading and regarded by many as a benchmark to follow, so it is vital to ensure that we’re also setting the global standards for diversity and inclusion,” said Charlotte Crosswell, the outgoing chief executive of Innovate Finance, who will step down on 1 May to be replaced by chief operating officer Janine Hirt taking over as interim chief executive.
“We are delighted to support the FinTech For All Charter and would encourage all fintech organisations to sign up in order to create an environment which champions inclusion and eliminates harassment.”
