Assetz Capital’s former recoveries manager Mike Horton has joined business advisory firm Quantuma.
Horton (pictured) has been appointed as a new director for Quantuma’s financial advisory practice in Manchester.
Before joining Quantuma, Horton managed the recoveries portfolio of peer-to-peer lender Assetz Capital for more than four years and worked as a credit risk manager for Co-op Bank before that.
In his role at Quantuma’s Manchester office, Horton will advise both businesses and a range of financial stakeholders across turnaround and performance improvement, options reviews, crisis and contingency planning and cash and working capital management.
“I’ve been very impressed by the pace at growth of Quantuma’s financial advisory practice over the last few years and I’m excited to be joining a firm whose reputation has gone from strength-to-strength,” Horton said.
“Businesses are entering a critical period where they will need to access advice to help them navigate financial and operation challenges post pandemic and Quantuma is very well placed to support those businesses.”
The financial advisory team, led by Louise Durkan, is growing amid rising demand for its services.
“Over the past year, businesses across the UK have faced unprecedented financial challenges,” Durkan said.
“Our team has worked hard to support these businesses and we are committed to growing to ensure we can continue to provide our services across the UK.”
