Invest & Fund has unveiled the full launch of its Innovative Finance ISA (IFISA), offering investors target returns of 7.5 per cent from residential property developments.

The peer-to-peer property lender noted the current volatility of the stock market and said that its tax-free wrapper gives people the opportunity to invest in an income-producing asset backed by tangible UK security.

“This is an important development for Invest & Fund and a timely opportunity for UK investors,” said David Turner, Invest & Fund’s chief executive.

“We have been developing this product for some time, and while we are clearly not first to market, we wanted to bring a product which we are entirely happy with and which is both simple and secure to use.

“We rolled out our IFISA on a selected basis in November 2019 and feedback has been very positive.  This full launch will allow more investors to access tax-free returns from carefully sourced residential property developments.”

Invest & Funds’ borrowers are professional property developers looking to borrow from £500,000 for up to 24 months, to help fund the construction of new homes across the UK.

The current ISA allowance is £20,000 per year and the minimum investment on the platform is £500.
