Lendwise to donate percentage of new invested funds to NHS charities
Lendwise has launched a charity initiative to show its support for the NHS.
The peer-to-peer education finance provider has pledged to donate one per cent of all funds deposited and invested by new lenders to NHS Charities Together until 30 June 2020.
NHS Charities Together supports NHS staff and volunteers caring for Covid-19 patients.
Funds raised will contribute to the provision of well-being packs and help cover volunteer expenses for the charity.

“I am delighted to announce that Lendwise will be supporting NHS Charities Together to help in the fight against coronavirus,” Rishi Zaveri, co-founder of Lendwise, said.
“There are many of our borrowers who are training to become healthcare professionals and we are hugely grateful to all of those individuals.
“We also recognise the bravery and endeavour of final-year students specialising in nursing, medicine and social work who are joining the NHS frontline.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all NHS staff and volunteers for everything that they are doing and we hope that the money we raise will help to support their efforts at this incredibly difficult time.”
P2P platforms have been showing support for the NHS in various ways.
Crowd2Fund has offered NHS employees zero investor fees for six months, while Loanpad revealed that two of its staff members have joined a team of engineers to develop new breathing aids for the NHS.
