Landbay has outlined its data-driven plans for growth in the prime specialist buy-to-let market.
The London-based firm, which recently exited the peer-to-peer lending market, said that it has ambitions to be the leading buy-to-let mortgage lending platform and sees data as central to this vision.
Landbay said in a blog post that its platform is built on architecture that includes over 20 databases. Its depth of data helps it manage risk for its funding partners, Landbay said.
“A good example of this is our stratification reporting capabilities: looking at volumes of mortgages over metrics such as loan size, LTV, region, rate etc,” the firm said.
“Stratification reporting is a key measure for risk management mortgage portfolios and Landbay’s data solutions enable us to review these types of metrics in real time and break them down by funder to report on risk held in funded mortgages.”
All of Landbay’s data – from sales order value reporting and broker performance to marketing campaign efficacy and core risk reporting – is accessible on the platform, Landbay added.

Landbay also said that it is solely focused on the prime specialist buy-to-let market, such as portfolio landlords.
It cited data that said the overall buy-to-let mortgage market is expected to grow at around three per cent growth per year, while the specialist buy-to-let market is predicted grow at 21 per cent.
