Funding Circle’s capital markets team has worked on six securitisation deals to date, five of which comprise loans from its UK portfolio and one with its US loans.
The latest transaction was a £250m securitisation of its UK loans, backed by Waterfall Asset Management, which was announced last November.
“This latest securitisation further validates the attractive, risk-adjusted returns that are being generated for investors in SME loans,” said Sachin Patel, chief capital officer at Funding Circle, at the time that the deal was announced.
“We look forward to continuing to work with Waterfall to support the growth of small businesses across the UK, driving much-needed job creation across the country as a result.”
