ThinCats appoints associate director for London and the south east
BUSINESS lending platform ThinCats has expanded its team in London and the south east with the appointment of Alexandra Evans as associate director for the region.
Evans joins the former peer-to-peer lender from Santander where she was a relationship manager responsible for looking after a portfolio of new and established corporate clients.
“I am delighted to join ThinCats at an exciting time for the business following another record year of funding. Investment is crucial for many firms as they look to the next stage of their growth,” Evans (pictured) said.
“Lenders like ThinCats, using institutional money, are increasingly becoming a key part of the lending space and I’m delighted to be in a great position to help more businesses.”

Dave Sherrington, regional head of sales for ThinCats said she would be a valuable asset to the company.
ThinCats closed its retail P2P lending platform to focus on institutional funding at the end of 2019
The business lender, which traded as ThinCats but is regulated under its registered company name of Business Loan Network (BLN, said no new loans will be offered on the P2P platform and it will be run-down and closed to new investors.
This caused some controversy as investors have been told they can no longer sell loans on the platform’s secondary market and those invested in ThinCats’ diversified portfolios will have to wait for their funds to mature.
