RATESETTER has named risk management specialist Martyn Scrivens as a new non-executive director and chair of the board risk committee.
Scrivens (pictured) has more than four decades of experience in audit and risk management. He spent five years as global head of internal audit at Credit Suisse Group, and prior to that he was group audit director at Lloyds Banking Group.
Scrivens will continue to serve as non-executive director at Yeovil District Hospital after joining the peer-to-peer lender’s board. He also chairs the Institute of Chartered Accountants’ internal audit advisory panel.
“Martyn brings extensive leadership experience in risk management, audit and governance and I am delighted to welcome him to the RateSetter board,” said Paul Manduca, RateSetter’s chairman.
“Martyn joins at an exciting time, with P2P becoming a mainstream investment class and RateSetter establishing itself at the forefront of the sector as the lowest-risk and most liquid P2P investment proposition.”
“RateSetter stands out with its unique model, strong reputation for risk management and unrivalled track record of delivering for customers,” said Scrivens.
“It is very exciting to join such an innovative and dynamic business and I look forward to working with my new board colleagues on the next stage of RateSetter’s growth.”
Scrivens will officially join the board on 1 November 2019.
