Ablrate sponsors Rookie of the Year prize at major golf tournament
PEER-TO-PEER lender Ablrate has announced that it will be sponsoring the Rookie of the Year 2019 award at the PGA EuroPro Tour.
Every rookie golfer on the tour will compete for a £1,000 prize pot over the season, with an overall winner will be announced at the Tour Championships at the end of October.
Ablrate’s chief executive David Bradley-Ward said that the award resonated with his firm, as it was a rookie company just five years ago.

“Ablrate was a start-up five years ago with just two members of the team in an office,” said Bradley-Ward.
“We were lucky enough to attract people to back us and we now have made a successful business. The same could be said for the pros on this tour who are fundamentally start-ups in the golf world.
“It’s important to work hard, sacrifice lots, sell yourself and importantly attract backers.”
Ablrate has been a long-term supporter of the EuroPro Tour and the company has directly sponsored golfers such as Luke Donnelly in the past.
“The Ablrate.com Rookie of the Year is another commitment to that goal to boost the very newest of the pros on the PGA EuroPro Tour,” added Bradley-Ward.
“We are excited about this new phase for the Ablrate/PGA Europro sponsorship.”

“I’m delighted to have Ablrate title sponsor the Ablrate.com Rookie of the Year,” said Daniel Godding, chief executive of the PGA EuroPro Tour.
“They understand more than most the importance of having backers in their infancy of business in a much similar vein to our golfers so this partnership makes total sense. I cannot wait to see who comes out on top.”
