ThinCats hires Metro Bank director to boost lending in Scotland
ThinCats has appointed Kenny Hughes as director of regional business development for Scotland.
Hughes (pictured) joins from challenger lender Metro Bank, where he most recently held the role of director – large commercial with a focus on mid-market transactions.
Prior to that position, Hughes held senior corporate and structured finance roles at Barclays and RBS.

“ThinCats is making great progress in funding the mid-sized businesses that are driving the economy,” Hughes said.
“I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time for the non-bank lending sector, and look forward to using my experience to support the growth aspirations of Scottish businesses with bespoke funding solutions.”
Earlier in August ThinCats said it had lent over £500m, of which more than £200m has been lent to small- and medium-sized businesses over the past 12 months.
The lender has £800m of capital to deploy, it said.
