RateSetter is third most commonly-ranked firm on high-growth lists
RATESETTER is among the top three companies that have featured most often in lists of high-growth firms.
Beauhurst, which tracks 5,500 companies, analyses 19 high-growth lists and when a firm appears on one of them it creates a profile for it. It then tracks how often these firms appear on the lists.
RateSetter is the only peer-to-peer lender to feature in its list of most-ranked companies and is included in eight of the lists that Beauhurst analyses.
Fintech companies dominate the list of nine firms, with payment processing company Optal in first place, and GoCardless coming in second.

Foreign exchange firm Ebury, e-commerce firm Green Man Gaming and online betting company Smarkets also feature.

“Fintech’s prevalence is immediately obvious,” said Beauhurst. “Optal, GoCardless, RateSetter and Ebury sit firmly within the financial technology sphere.
“And to have the top two on this list operating in very similar spaces is not surprising, given the well-publicised dominance of the sector, at least when it comes to investment.”
Interestingly, RateSetter, the smallest of the ‘big three’ P2P firms behind Zopa and Funding Circle, dropped off the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 earlier this year.
