Deadline nears for fintech incubator applications

FINTECH start-ups that want to be part of Accenture’s latest innovation incubator must apply by the end of this week.

The deadline for applications for the seventh Accenture Fintech Innovation Lab London is this Friday (26 October).

The three-month programme sees early and growth stage companies receive mentoring to accelerate their business development by working directly with top financial institutions.

Since it started in 2012 the London Lab has helped 75 fintech start-ups raise $217m (£168m) and create more than 150 jobs.

Banking partners have included Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and HSBC.

Insurtechs have been supported by underwriters and brokers including Ageas, AXA, Towergate and XL Catlin.

“The Fintech Innovation Lab helped to guide FinGenius through the phenomenal complexity of the financial services industry and get our Artificial Intelligence proposition in front of the major decision makers at the major banks,” said London Lab alumni FinGenius.

“Along with incredibly useful product and commercial advice from high-profile mentors, the programme gave us a fantastic competitive advantage and has exponentially accelerated the growth of our company.”
