FUNDINGSECURE has named two experienced entrepreneurs as board members to support its growth plans.

The peer-to-peer pawnbroking platform has appointed Raj Kumar and Carl Davies to its board.

Kumar has more than 25 years of experience in running and building value in a variety of companies, including property development, travel, industry, education and the food sector.

“Within these companies Raj has introduced new and improved ways of working, often with the use of new technologies,” FundingSecure said.

Davies has more than 35 years of extensive and varied industry and international experience. He started his career in sales and marketing roles at consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble and went on to run a management consultancy for 15 years in London and Chicago.

FundingSecure said that Davies brings a wealth of experience in corporate governance, business change and process development, especially around customer experience.

“The addition of the two new board members will add significant knowledge and experience to FundingSecure, ensuring our continued successful growth in the P2P marketplace,” the firm added.

The Buckinghamshire-based platform, which launched an Innovative Finance ISA last year, also revealed that it has now lent out more than £280m to date. It hit the £200m lending milestone last December.
