Postings joined Bibby in 2015 after senior positions at Barclays and Lloyds TSB, while Barnett has 20 years of experience in the retail banking and payments industry.
“David’s extensive experience across industry sectors and a wide range of institutions.and Mark’s experience and insight into the retail banking and payments industry make them valuable additions to the board,” Bob Wigley, chair of UK Finance, said.
UK Finance was set up in July 2017 to bring together the activities previously carried out by the Asset Based Finance Association, the British Bankers’ Association, the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Financial Fraud Action UK, Payments UK and the UK Cards Association.
“With cards and other forms of digital payment now the primary means through which consumers choose to pay, I look forward to helping UK Finance reflect and support the UK’s changing payments landscape,” Barnett added:
Peer-to-peer secured business loans platform ArchOver became part of UK Finance last year, and other P2P lenders are also part of the trade body including Landbay.
