Funding Circle to host cryptocurrency event to promote women in fintech
FUNDING Circle is to host a panel event focusing on cryptocurrency, described by the organisers as “one of the most interesting but least understood areas of fintech.”
The event is being held in connection with FinTechWomen, a London-based meet-up group, and is sponsored by Funding Circle.
Its aim is to improve gender diversity and promote female role models within the fintech space.
Although Funding Circle says it has no plans to use cryptocurrencies within its own business, it recognises that they are a hot topic, and this is why it will be the focus of the panel discussion.

Other panellists include Teana Baker-Taylor, chief marketing officer at Coinfloor, Marjan Delatinne, an entrepreneurial business developer, Marieke Flament, global chief marketing officer at cryptofinance company Circle and Laura Grimmelmann, an investor with venture capital firm Accel.
