CONSULTANCY BWB Compliance has boosted its peer-to-peer lending expertise with the appointment of former MoneyThing finance director Dena Chadderton as senior adviser.

She will primarily advise firms in the fintech and asset management space, with a particular focus on the regulation of P2P lending and crowdfunding platforms, a growing part of the current team’s client base.

She held the role of finance director and compliance officer at P2P lender MoneyThing from February 2017 until April 2018.

She has also previously worked as head of compliance for crowdfunding platform CrowdShed and for business consultancy Bovill.

“Dena’s arrival underlines the continued interest that we’ve seen from the P2P, crowdfunding and venture capital sectors across the last two years,” said Gillian Roche-Saunders, head of BWB Compliance.

“Being able to draw on Dena’s fantastic in house and consultancy experience, will mean that clients receive technically expert advice that they can actually implement.

“In addition to her sector knowledge, Dena’s understanding of the prudential rules and client money regime will also prove to be a real asset to our clients.”

Chadderton praised BWB Compliance’s “entrepreneurial ethos.”
