INNOVATE Finance has announced several changes to its team, including the departure of its chief financial officer.

The fintech trade body said on Wednesday that Abdul Haseeb Basit, who is CFO and executive director, will step down on 30 November.

Justin Fitzpatrick, who is a non-executive director, is also leaving at the end of the month after three years at the trade body.

Joining the organisation’s board are technology investment veteran Sue Hunter, who takes on the role of non-executive director, and Janine Hirt, who joins as chief operating officer and executive director.

Both new positions take effect immediately.

Innovate Finance conducted its search with the support of Leathwaite, who specialise in financial services and fintech appointments at board and executive level.

The trade body was founded in 2014 and boasts more than 250 global members, ranging from early-stage start-ups to global financial institutions.
