New trustees join Finance Innovation Lab’s board
SIX new trustees have been appointed to the board of the Finance Innovation Lab.
The Lab was founded in 2009 by WWF-UK and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), with the aim of serving as an incubator for both individuals and ideas which can reshape the financial system so that it is more democratic and protects the planet.
Three existing trustees will be serving for a second term on the board, including Bruce Davis, founder and joint managing director of ethical peer-to-peer lending platform Abundance Investment. The other returning trustees are Christine Berry , an independent researcher, and Sue Charman, director of corporate stewardship at WWF-UK.

In a statement, the organisation said that its board would look to build on the Lab’s incubation programme, the Lab Fellowship, with a new programme for ‘intrapreneurs’ – “emerging leaders within the financial system who want to repurpose their professions”.
Further details about the programme will be released in the coming months.
