Crowdstacker-backed Amicus grows property team
THE PROPERTY arm of Crowdstacker-backed Amicus has unveiled a range of senior appointments.
Amicus Property Finance, which provides short-term residential and commercial loans, has appointed Alan Dorrington, Mark Heckels and Derek Wells as senior underwriters in its Manchester team.
Dorrington joins from Nationwide Building Society where he was senior lending manager in the commercial property finance team, while Heckels also worked for the building society in the business development department.
Wells arrives from the Bank of Ireland business banking team.
The moves follow recruitment of Matthew Anderson as head of servicing and portfolio management in June.

The specialist lender has provided more than £500m of loans in the first six months of 2017.
“We have seen fantastic growth over recent periods, not least in the first six months of this year,”
Yasin Patel, divisional director at Amicus Property Finance, said.
“This comes from investing in a highly-experienced team with knowledge of the local business community, and the right expertise to successfully partner with and deliver on our clients’ needs.”
The firm’s parent company, bridging lender Amicus, raised more than £15m on Crowdstacker last October.
It has since applied for a banking licence.
