Habito wins £5m investment from Augmentum Fintech
FINTECH investment fund Augmentum Fintech has invested £5m in online mortgage broking and lending platform Habito.
Augmentum revealed the news in a short note to the market, but neither company has issued a statement regarding the use of the funds, or whether any new investments will be forthcoming.
The investment follows a period of expansion for Augmentum Fintech, which counts Zopa as its largest holding.
In June, the London-listed investment fund added a further £8.5m to three of the technology companies in its portfolio: Monese, Tide, and Duedil.
The day after announcing these new investments, Augmentum announced that it was planning a new share issue to raise £30m.
Habito was founded in 2016 and aims to help people better understand their mortgage options. Since it launched, it has helped more than 200,000 people and handled approximately £2.6bn of mortgage submissions.
