ThinCats names former Barclays exec as director of underwriting
THINCATS has appointed former Barclays executive Andy Hegedus as its director of underwriting.
Hegedus (pictured) joins the peer-to-peer business lender after spending 12 years at Barclays in its small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) credit team and was also a relationship manager at the bank.
“I am excited to be joining the prominent fintech business operating in the SME lending space,” he said.
“ThinCat’s pragmatic lending process and market-leading proprietary technology allows me to listen and react to the needs of small businesses, in a way that people can no longer do when they are constrained by the internal processes and red tape of the big banks.”

“Andy brings with him a huge amount of industry expertise and I have no doubt he will hit the ground running,” Walford said.
“Andy will work alongside our origination team and deal directly with national brokers, to shape and structure deals for SMEs across the country. Andy’s experience means he will take a leading role in the whole credit process, from initial enquiry through to deal completion.”
